	The Family Self-Sufficiency Program is designed for motivated and committed families who are participants of the Voucher Program with the goal of financial independence. The program provides families with personal attention, guidance, referral, opportunities, and encouragement to reach the goals they set for themselves. In addition to the satisfaction and independence achieved, there is a financial reward for families who successfully complete their contract. We will work closely with you to plan goals and will help coordinate support services such as:     Career Counseling Education or Job Training Job Searching Money Management Interviewing/Resume Skills Home Ownership Transportation And More   The Family Self Sufficiency Home Ownership portion provides FSS families with the support, educational opportunities and personal attention necessary to work towards a goal of home ownership.  We Expect from you:     Honesty Reliability Sense of Humor Motivation Courage Persistence   You can expect the same from us! We also want to provide you with the resources and moral support to make good choices that will benefit you and your family.  As you become more independent and less dependent on assistance, you eligibility (and need) for assistance changes. The program has developed a savings plan that sets aside money for you while you are earning your independence.
