Forks Housing Authority has a number of programs for low to
moderate income
families to help them achieve their goals of homeownership.
American Dream Program
American Dream is a comprehensive program to help
moderate-income families purchase their first home in Grand
Forks. American Dream offers assistance up to $22,500
through a number of programs including down payment and closing
cost assistance.
Home Buyer Incentive Program
The HIP Program is a low interest loan program to help
families with 80-120% of the area median income to become
homeowners by providing up to $7,500 for down payment and
closing costs.
Housing Choice Voucher Home Ownership Program
The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Home Ownership Program is
available to participants of the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
It enables a family to convert their rental assistance into a
homeownership assistance payment. The program provides
assistance, counseling, workshops, and funding so you can
someday own your own home.
