The Grand Forks Housing Authority offers many classe s to help
you prepare for the path to homeownership with topics ranging
anywhere from Assessing Readiness to Financial Management.
Classes are available to all types of buyers at any stage in the
home buying process. Many of these classes are also available
to those who are not ready to purchase a home but would like to
know more about financial management.
Home Buyer's Express
Mortgage Ready in 0-6 Months

This is a 10 hour fast track
course, formally "Home Buyer's Club", that will take you down
the path to homeownership by teaching you the importance of
Credit, Budgeting, and Savings, as well as, teach you the
necessary steps to take in order to one day own your own home.
This class is available to all levels of buyers, however it is
focused towards the mortgage ready buyers. If you are thinking
more long-term, join our regular Home Buyer's Club. There is

Home Buyer's Express Club this homeownership workshop
will take you down the path to homeownership by teaching you the
importance of Credit, Budgeting, and Savings, as well as, teach

home. We will help you and your family
get on the right path to homeownership in a longer, more
detailed setting for those buyers who won't be ready to purchase
for 6-24 months. It is a way to motivate and prepare families
for the rewards and responsibilities of owning a home.

Buyer's Club is a monthly workshop designed for those who
have a long-term goal of owning their own home. This Club is an
opportunity to learn how home ownership can become a reality for
you.

LaGrave Home Buyer's Club
Like the Home Buyer's Club, but this homeownership workshop is
designed specifically for the residents of LaGrave Place. We
will help you and your family get on the right path to
homeownership. It is a way to motivate and prepare LaGrave
Place families for the rewards and responsibilities of owning a
home.
The
LaGrave Home Buyer's Club is a monthly workshop designed for
those who have a long-term goal of owning their own home. This
Club is an opportunity to learn how home ownership can become a
reality for you.

Budgeting
This course will help you with your financial health and net
worth, importance of budgeting, wants versus needs, managing
income and spending, tracking expenses and handling receipts,
and creating a spending plan to meet goals. This is a great
class to take whether you are planning on buying a home or not.
